About me
My name is Marjut and I'm a Finnish actor and artist from Helsinki, Finland.
​
As a person I'm vibrant, optimistic, courageous and I wear my heart on my sleeve. I don't take life too seriously, but when it comes to my craft, I'm very ambitious, determined and focused. Family, friends and following my heart are the most important things to me in life. I love dancing, especially latin styles are close to my heart. Fun fact: my last name means ´river´.
My mother tongue is Finnish and I speak English (American accent) and Swedish (Finswe) fluently. I also speak some Portuguese, Spanish and German.

As a performer, I'm multidimensional, emotionally and physically expressive and I can improvise. I aspire to play in a musical one day and I hope I get to do comedy too.
​
At the end of the day, me as a person and me as a performer are one and the same. I carry both with me as I live this silly but ever so fascinating life.

My Story
Where and how did it all start? My spark for acting ignited in primary school where I would be a part of school plays and the choir. I played piano as a kid and I always had an artistic side in me. In secondary school I'd take acting classes and almost applied to an upper secondary school of performing arts. Life took a different path that time but I'm beyond grateful that I found my way back to my passion; Nowadays I can proudly say that I act, write, dance and sing.

However, that required some big changes in my life as well as plenty of courage and determination. August 2021 was a pivotal month in my life when I decided to bet on myself and go all-in for my acting career. Surely I was taking baby steps but the biggest confirmation for myself that I did the right choice was when I started my acting studies a year later in 2022. It felt like I had been lost for years and finally found home. Whether I was studying or on set, I felt like a sponge just absorbing everything I saw, heard and felt. Today I am still that sponge, constantly learning and expanding my tool box and skill set.
